duplicate appears when switching clothes and respawn at that site

09/06/2012 when I put the civilian suit on round about 14:00 GMT

What happened?

I’M not that bothered about the loss of the character but I don’t know if this is a one of thing or an actual bug but I was in Devil’s Castle and I found some loot with civilian clothing. I thought I’ll put it on and see what happens, when I put it on the screen went black for a second and then went back to normal. Then out of the corner or my eye I saw someone standing behind me when I turned around I saw another survivor just standing there after a few seconds he didn’t move and then neither did I. when I went over to the guy and opened his Alice pack and saw the same thing that was in my pack some 1866 shells, markov mags, blood bags and bandages, for some reason putting the clothes on created a duplicate of me. After shooting him in the leg first to see if it would do any damage to me (which it didn’t) and me shooting myself/duplicate in the head 6 times I decided just to loot the Alice pack and carry on. There were other bugs such as my gun going to full ammo I only had 2/15 rounds before I put the clothes on that also changed to 15 and It also reset my debug monitor I went from 115 zombie kills to 0.

Anyway I carried on for 30 mins before logging out of the server Germany 2 (ger2) to have lunch, I was alive and had a markov and a Winchester and was on the outskirts of some villager far away from Devils Castle.

After lunch I logged into server uk13 around 15:15 GMT and where did I spawn but back in devils castle with no possessions but my Alice pack that had all the items in it except for the ones I removed earlier (maybe some karma there), I also had all the misc. possessions that don’t take up room like matches, compass and watch etc. You think the game is too easy or too hard at the start try playing the game with no gun anyway after a failed attempt to sneak on the airport base I died with a career best of 177 zombie kills. I broke my leg from being attacked from zombies and ran out of ammo for the gun I found there and couldn’t go up the ladder or had any morphine to repair the leg.

So has this happened before when trying to put on different outfits for anyone else and in my opinion if you find other outfits I wouldn’t risk putting them on or is there a curse at Devils castle
