Buddy Name Tags

Would be good if you could add players to a buddy list so you dont shoot each other by displaying there name when you add them but still giving other enemys still able to sneaky around without a name above their heads to give away where they are :)

This would be cool, but I don't know how possible (if at all) it would be to implement in-game. Groups could be enabled in DayZ and allow players that know each other to group up in a more official capacity, and within that allow name tags to be visible. That is certainly one posibility, and I'm sure there are more.

This has happened to me twice in two days.

I hear a noise behind me, turn around and see another player coming up pretty close to me. So I start shooting, then happily report on TS "I just killed a guy". And someone else in our group goes "Damn it, Jack, you just killed me".

It's hilarious. Especially the first time, when he returned fire and we killed each other. But also rather annoying.

If not tags, maybe some sort of customizable armband could be added to skins. So your whole group agrees on a colour and you have a decent chance of recognizing your friends.

I like this idea. Name tag would simulate you recognizing your buddy.
