Making the woods scarier.

How about making each un-silenced shot a 30-50 percent chance to spawn 3-5 zombies and each silenced shot a 2-8 percent chance for 1-3 zombies? Zombies spawn 2-10 meters from source of shot in random directions, but facing source of shot. This happens regardless of location (city, dock, wilderness, mountain top, everywhere).

Maybe the Zombies automatically know location of shooter?

So, take a full auto burst at another survivor in the middle of the woods is suddenly much riskier. Shooting that sheep for some nice mutton steaks is no longer a low risk proposition. Gun battles in the city suddenly have Zombies crawling over each other trying to get to the buffet.

How about making ghillie suits increase the chance for zombie detection due to increased body odor from the survivor (those things are pretty hot to wear, especially when running). That combined with the above suggestion make sniping Electro from double christmas a very much more interesting proposition.

A player who lives mainly on beans should have a small chance of alerting zombies with accidental flatulence while crawling on his belly

Spawn simulates the noise of the shot attracting them. Why wouldn't there be any zombies in the woods or on Sniper Hill?

So 3 zombies spawn, rush at you, and when you shoot them, 5 zombies spawn because you fired your gun, then you shoot them, then 4 more spawn, you shoot them, then 5 more spawn, then you run out of ammo and die from being overwhelmed.
