when DayZ goes standalone. instead of your character being stored by IP. it should be stored by account. meaning you can log on to any PC and play your DayZ guy/girl.

This would also mean that single PC families can support multiple player profiles.

There should also be a "guest" account (which does not save) to enable people to let friends "have a go" without risking there precious character suffering a premeture death.

I agree. I think multiple accounts are needed not only for multiple people, but for people with multiple playgroups. I play with my friend sometimes. Sometimes I don't. It would be awesome if I had two seperate characters for those two occasions.

Character revenge-jumping (And whatever other crazy theories the naysayers can come up with) could be easily overcome with a 24 hour server character lock. If I have save 1 and save 2, and I play on server US555 on save 1, from the time I log out, I cannot play save 2 on US555 for 24 hours. That way I can die and swap to another character, but it MUST be on another server.

Problems solved. Everyone's happy. Except for the assholes who say no just to be the assholes who say no, of course.

just a quick note its not the IP that stores it but the OA CD key, you can run two accounts on one pc you just need to swap the keys over, there are a few ways to do this so if oyu want to know drop me a PM

Well My friend sometimes plays Dayz on my PC but when he logs into his steam account he starts in a new place etc. None of my gear.
