ZimRaggle 1 Posted August 21, 2012 What are you're opinions on this combo? Seems very unrealistic to me.

Hetstaine 10852 Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) Optics: An over-action MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail sourced from either GG&G Armament Arizona or Smith Enterprise, Inc. allows for the use of any optic compatible with the rail; this includes a rather large variety of military scopes and imaging devices. The most common scope used on the USMC DMR are TS-30.xx series Leupold Mark 4 day scopes, AN/PVS-10 or AN/PVS-17 night vision scopes, and Unertl M40 10× fixed power scopes.Make of that what you will :) Edited August 21, 2012 by Hetstaine

ZimRaggle 1 Posted August 21, 2012 Just judging by the size of the NVG goggles on the inv screen seems like it woulden't work.

You don't use NODS with a regular scope because NODS have a focus that doesn't work very well with a standard scope. All weapons I ever used in the Army at night time had a PAQ4 or PAQ15 In-fared laser which can be aimed from the hip. I never once successfully looked through a scope or CCO to engage at night time. Turn the laser on, look around the side of the weapon, and fire. Seeing as how the DMR has a daytime scope and no laser it is very improbable.
