Looking for server to call 'home'

I have been playing DayZ now for almost 2 months. It has been a blast to say the least, and recently some glitches that seem somewhat specific to certain servers have been getting on my nerves (some servers constantly spawn me in debug plains when I log in). I usually just jump on the lowest ping server when I log in but this has lead to some troubles. Now I'm just looking for a server to call 'home' for me and a couple IRL friends I play with. Something with a pretty stable medium to low pop so hackers aren't as prevalent. Also it seems that a lot of servers are clan dominated in that they have horded most if not all vehicles to one single location, if I could find a server that wasn't heavily clan dominated that would be cool to.

So does anyone have any suggestions for a few survivor friends? maybe a server you frequent?

Also I live in atlantic canada (hour ahead of EST), so ping may be an issue for certain servers.

you can try us over at US 23, not a lot of activity over here so we pretty much have all the vehicles out there waiting to be taken
