Spent all day today getting geared up, rangefinders, NVGs, you name it.

I decided to log off at the same time as my friend who logged out right next to me.

We both decided to log back in not 10 minutes ago, my friend logged in fine, all gear there in the exact position he logged out in.

I however, spawned on the coast with no gear, as though I just started out. I also did not get an option as to whether I wanted to be Male or Female, which leads me to believe I was not killed but simply reset.

This has happened to me 5+ times now and is getting more and more frustrating.

Why has this not yet been fixed?

If it happened to you 5 times why do you keep going back and repeating the process?

It could be a problem with the server version. Loading into a server with the wrong version of DayZ can cause you to be dropped on the coast, possibly losing your weapons.

Some servers have you restart when you show up on them (odd setting or non-hive server? I don't know). Leaving the server fixes the problem.

Do you use sixlauncher, or an outdated version of Arma 2?

Assuming you're running 1.7.2.5, make sure you only connect to servers running that version. Connecting to servers running an older version will lead to long load times and the possibility of respawning, Patience, it will be fixed.

Were you wearing a Ghillie suit? This happened to me once and I spawned on the coast after being up near the NW Airfield. All my gear was gone and I started with no backpack, no bandages, nothing. Hasn't happened again but I thought it was a hacker.

same here 20 minutes ago.

no backpack/starting kit after i joined a server and got spawned at 'wildernis" with some body's on the ground and 3 body standing in front of me.

all the body's where empty/no gear.

chat screen showed: 'Gert-jan killed".

disconnected, joined other server, spawned at coast, no gear/backpack but stil my military clothes/skin.

all 1.7.2.5 servers...

using six launcher..

Wow, geared up in one day with range finders and nvg.

Which server are you on?

I've been playing for weeks and haven't seen any of that gear spawn. Never mind enough for me and my mates. ;)
