First Bandit Kill

In the bandit forum there is a thread talking about their first murders. I felt the need to add my two cents considering I feel I'm not the only one that despises them.

Anyone remember their first bandit killed? Here's my story.

After breaking my leg, having no morphine available and being alone, I decided to let Zed make lunch of me.

Upon respawning near Elektro, I hauled rear to the north side to scavenge the grocery store.

On my way there, I found a hatchet in a barn. Picking it up, I ignored the feeling of a possible luck streak coming way.

I managed to dodge the zombies on my way to the supermarket and ran in through the front door. To my predicted dismay, there was a bandit sitting behind the counter with a Lee-Enfield.

As he took a shot at me, I ran out of his sight to the far side of the store and yelled "Friendly" but he just laughed at me.

I could hear the flies of a dead survivor in the back room who I assumed he killed.

Fortunately, zombies started coming in the back and forced him to exit the building. Even though zombies were now after him, he kept trying to find me but I managed to hide in the front of the store. After about 30 seconds I watched him retreat and head down an alley.

I continued to loot the store cautiously and was in the back, smallest room. I positioned my screen to watch the main, rear area in case he came back while I was fiddling with my gear. Sure enough, he snuck back in. He came to the opening of my little room and stopped then turned around. Squeezing my ax with white-knuckle grip I immediately used the opportunity to attack. I swung multiple times and hit him. He swung around and shot but somehow missed. Being 1 foot in front of him I kept swinging as fast as I could. To my advantage he backed up into a shelf and couldn't retreat. After a few more swings, he fell to the ground before getting off another shot.

I must say, my adrenaline was pumping and I was exstatic that he was dead. Even better, I looted all the basics I needed to survive and was well off.

Who's laughing now?!

From then on, I take every advantage I can to take out bandits whenever my one-man-band finds them. They are heartless people (or just bored) and deserve death, imo. They prey on poor survivors who spend countless hours managing to survive just to have it taken away from someone who kills survivors for fun.

Maybe I will form a resistance... any ideas on names?

Bit of revenge kill, beans to you!

My first bandit kill was pretty unique, and i've learned not to let appearances fool me!

I was in Stary, and I felt pretty safe and alone, but a while later I started bandaging and eating in a somewhat open position. I heard gun shots, and I was instantly startled, though, they didn't sound like they were at me. I decided to wait out around Stary to see if it really was a threat. I thermaled out someone running up in the trees near the military barracks, and noticed they had a bandit skin. It was the first time i've ever seen one, so I shot on sight. Killed my first bandit Zero Solace.

My friend (who is at respawn) tells me to get out of the area, so I do. Then only 10 seconds later I hear "Oh my god, the guy you just killed is here at my spawn too!"

After talking with my friend, I felt bad that I killed this guy, and get my friend to communicate that i'll leave all Zero's stuff on his body, and leave a few AS50 mags for him to come and collect it. All the while Zero is taking my friend to his group in Elektro to help him out. In the fields of Stary I find a motorbike, and start heading towards my friend.

I offer a ride to the 'bandit' Zero back up to his stuff, but in return he musn't bring any weapons. We meet near Topolka Dam, and on the way up we have a pretty good conversation. He tells me his friend is at Stary, so I drop him off at Novy just to be on the safe side.

He says "thanks so much for your kindness", and altough I feel terrible for shooting him, I feel this is the best I can do as an apology.

Unfortunately the server reset before he could get any of his things!

Later that night on the server, in Grozovy pass of all things, during my friend and I's motorbike adventure, I ALT TAB to reply to a message, and my friend says "Wait what, there's a guy on a bicycle who just pulled up beside us."

It's Zero! I was so happy to see him there hahaha. I gave him a few things like some magazines and a ghillie suit, and he gives my friend camo clothing, and he explains his bandit skin happens whenever he joins a server, and goes away after 20 minutes.

Now I don't regret shooting him, made a friend out of it!

Awesome story, Mayuyu! Congrats on making an ally. It's unfortunate that he is having that skin issue but it sounds like he understood. :thumbsup:

Great, and hi everybody, my first post in this forum! :)

My first bandit kill where at the balota airfield at night after i was killed several times in cherno. I started at the coast and hand over to the ballota airfield to loot some stuff. So i get at first in the hangars and found a hatchet, some lights and ammunition. Then i go into the tower and look there if there is a gun or such thing. I stand in the tower an then i heared a shot and glas breaking. I lie down on the floor and get down the stairs and then i lie under the stairs and wait. I was full adrenalin and i dont want to die again this time. Then i wait there several seconds/minutes and after some time there comes a player and walk up the stairs. Then i take my hatchet and go up too because i started a few minutes before after get killed in cherno and when i get killed now its not a big problem because i dont have good stuff in my backpack, only a hatchet and some ammunition. As i came in the top room of the tower there where the other player and i swing at him with my hatchet and he shot several times and hit me but i dont die and was only bleeding. Some hits with my axe later he dies and after killing him i bandage myself and loot all stuff that he was carrying. The i head as fast i can down the stairs out of the tower and through the damaged fence behind one of the hangars straight into the forest behind the balota airfield. After this my heart goes very fast and run in the forest towards cherno. Then i disconnect, smoke a cigarette and drink a beer. :rolleyes:

The next day i was killed in cherno by atacking zombies and another player. :(

P.S.: Sorry for my 'bad' english. I'm from germany and i don't post often in english forums. :rolleyes:

Ha, great story DirtyLyle! I would've had a beer and smoke after that too.
