Solution: Citizen/Modified files error with Arma II Free and DayZ Commander

Recommended Posts

If you're having problems with launching DayZ trough DayZ Commander and you're using Arma 2 Free (with Steam), I found the solution. The error you're getting is the 'citizen1'-error just after starting, and when you're almost in game it sais you're using modified files. If you don't get this error, this solution is working I guess.

First of all update everything to the latest version with DayZ Commander.

After that, copy your 'AddOns' files from the Arma 2 Free directory, to the Arma 2 OA directory.

The last step is to change the folder of Arma 2 in Day Z Commander. When you go to settings, the directory wich Arma 2 is in, is described as C/Program files/blablabla/Arma 2. Change this last word to Arma 2 free.

Save it, and enjoy playing!
