Helicopter despawning at each server restart?

Hey, so me and my friends were happy because we repaired a chopper. We went to hide it at the western side of the map for it to survive the server restart (we saved it multiple times 1hour before the restart over there). Finally, the server restarted, but the chopper wasn't there. We asked a friend who had logged out at the island to go check the spawn point, and he found the chopper, broken.

We then gathered all the parts again (it was pretty quick, we had a couple vehicles), and went back to the island to repair the chopper. Once it was repaired, we flew and hid it in the northern side of the map, this time, we saved it 45 minutes before the server restart. It restarted, and the chopper wasn't there. We called it a night and logged off there.

Has this happened to you? Is there a fix to it?

By the way, all our other vehicles save fine.

Choppers are there just to distract players from going out and just Sniping others by keeping you busy repairing it then taking it from you

so you will just have to start over again and repair it once again. Its kinda like a...Teaser?

Plus it saves the lives of so many other players trying to be legit to enjoy Dayz.

Happened to me too with a Heli and a Ural. Both had been saved and very well hidden, but disappeared after server restart. Even after another server restart they where still gone.

We had tons of stuff in it and now it's gone. :(

so you will just have to start over again and repair it once again. Its kinda like a...Teaser?

Plus it saves the lives of so many other players trying to be legit to enjoy Dayz.

This happened to me.

3 choppers.

I got my first chopper after finding one and repairing it for about~4 hours. Server restarted mid flight. Chopper lost. (I think it was hacked in anyway so no worries.)

Second chopper found yesterday, spent the better part of 9 hours fixing it after suffering setbacks. Saved once before reset, It dissappeared.

So I tried a third time thinking this time I'd be ready for the reset.Spent all day, probably 6 hours trying to repair it. Repaired it, flew away, saved it AT LEAST 30 TIMES. Server reset. Chopper gone.

So infuriating.

Well I guess we're just going to leave a tent with all the chopper parts next to the chopper spawn, and let it dupe the items again and again. Fight a bug with a bug.

Same here, spent most of the afternoon bicycling from camp to the island ferrying parts. Enjoyed an evening of flying and finding the truck I wanted. Saved, saved saved....not worth doing it again. There really isn't much left to do in this stupid mod. The worst part of it is the issues that were impacting the game play months ago are still there. Almost nothing has really been corrected. I guess the "dev team" is too busy being Rock Stars at events.

No matter what reason they have for doing it, it is a bit unfair on players who take the time to fix up vechiles and then loose them?

Well im glad its not just me that this is happening too...

Im currently fixing my SEVENTH chopper as i type this and i think this will be my last chopper i fix until this issue is put right. Like the first time it happened, i thought it may have been stolen somehow, although each time ive had a chopper ive landed it and created my camp in a very secret place, different place each time, right on the map borders. In 2 cases ive been flying the chopper off the island and over Cherno and Elektro and the Admin that has been present, while im in Mid-Air has put a console message on the server saying "Server restart in 15 seconds". This came with no warning at all and i think was done out of spite because i had his precious Huey. Ive had numerous vehicles over the time ive played DayZ, ive been playing for a very long time now, and i dont see why Choppers have this issue? Vehicles save fine, with all gear inside then and they never go missing, infact ive only ever had one vehicle go missing and that is a long story. All im asking is that this issue gets fixed, as it is very unfair on people like me and thousands of others who send hours on hours collecting the parts and the fuel that is needed to fix and fly the Huey to have all those timeless sessions playing this mod to have it cruely taken away from then for no good reason. I just thought i would share my experiences with this issue too...Well, im off to fix a chopper to have it taken away from me in about 6/7 hours time
