HELP!!! New Computer- would it run ArmA:3?

Recommended Posts

Honestly OP that PC sounds horrible.

Just splash some cash and buy your own parts like a GTX 590 and about 16GB of RAM.

Ok. Thanks all for your answers.

I've decided to use websites where I can put together what I want and see how much it costs.

Offers a lot of flexibility and going to try multiple websites to see what any cost difference is.

Going to have to spend more money that I thought I would, should be worth it though.

Thanks again everyone :)

yea, you need a better card, that one is atrocious (6450). Need at least a 6800-7800 series or gtx 560-660 series card. Also fx cpus are complete shit, quad core phenom or i5.

http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1438.l2649 This one??

Just looking for advice, nevermind where the specs come from, just looking for a decent PC to run games like ArmA3

This one is OK. (CPU is good enough and RAM too) HDD may be a troublesome.

I would advise you to go onto tomshardware.co.uk and get help there (awesome forum, you only need to register)

Also if you are from UK get on this one http://www.cclonline.com

PS: Dont buy http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1438.l2649 video card is crap

Will there be a DirectX9 (XP) version of Arma 3 ? The specs in post #1 says it will be DX10 and 11 only.

Please, not an invitation to tell me XP is 10 years old, XP is <insert derogatory phrase here>.

I heard somewhere that ArmA:3 is only compatible with Windows 7 and Vista.

Getting my new one on W7 just to make sure.

I was wondering the same thing before I decided to get a new one.
