FPS cycle ¿

Recommended Posts

Hi there.

Got a real problem: when I'm playing, I'm experiencing some fps cycle... I mean when I run the game, I've got something like 5min with high FPS, then 5min with low FPS. Difference is HUGE: I'm like with 50/80 FPS in the good moments, but something like 05/15 FPS in the lag period.

First, here is my specs with the system requirements lab analyze:

pass.jpg

I am not really running with 2.0 but 2.7Ghz.(CPU speed).

All drivers are UP to date.

So I waste some time on differents forums, and I've tried a lots of tips... Followed some complete guides with differents settings, Tried to add/modify some lines in the .cfg file (like ATOC, shadingQ etc...), but guys: NO WAY!!

Whatever I try, I got other graphics, and other FPS, but always this same f****ng cycle. 5min playing DayZ, then 5min in Hell, then......

Here we are. I need your help. I've really tried a lot of tips and graphics settings, but nothing work.

If you need some additionnal informations, I'm here guys...

And sorry for this english XD...

Have you tried overclocking your cpu or graphics Considering you have a i7 cpu and you only run on 2.00 GHz try over clocking it to a 3.00 GHz I have a duo core with 2.00 GHz witch is not overclocked so for a 7 cored processor that pretty slow but have you tried ex-thread commands ?If not here are some witch will fit you.

-nosplash

-world=empty

-exthreads=7

-cpucount=7

-win~ (Where the ~ is put your os mine is vista (yea i know it sucks) i put -winvista if yours is xp put -winxp or if its 7 put -win7)

Hope it helps :D

Hi Kez and thanks for your help, but that doesn't work anymore!

But guys, I think I've got some news.

Some people told me that my processor may cause a lots of failings due to the Arma II motor, who is needed a lot of CPU ressources.

So, I'm running on a i7-2630 QM, in a laptop. The default multiplier for the Core is X8. I have just up it to X17. From 700 to 1600 MHz for the Core speed...

and...

AWESOME!! I'm now experiencing some great moments, with no more f****ng FPS cycle or else s***!

The way I use to boost my processor: ThrottleStop (you can find it for free with google)

BE CAREFULL guys: overclock a laptop may cause no reversible damage due to the overheat. get really informed about your components max °C/F.

I was like 61/72°C @CPU with multiplier X8, I'm now running dat heavy machine with 76/92°C @CPU (ingame). Constructor says "Max Operating Temp= 100°C".

I hope it will help some of you guys.

Thanks for who tried to help me =).

CYA ingame with NOLAGS :D
