55~60 FPS anywhere I go.

Every video setting to the max, except HDR Quality and Post-Processing.

How do I get better fps with my gtx 670?

It is really bothering me to see people with lower end gpu's get higher frame rates than me...

20fps (city) to 60fps

Core2 e8400

4gb ram

ATI 4950

medium settings (shadows high)

1680x1050 interface and 3d res

What is your view distance set to? While Dayz locks it server side, I have had an issue in the past where it was still slowing my PC down, even while the server was forcing a 1600m view distance. Anything 5km and below is fine, anything above that is going to struggle (on any PC).

Also make sure your shadows are set to high/very high (runs alot faster than medium/low), and that your video memory setting is set to default (not high or very high; those settings are for >512mb cards)

And one more thing, is the gtx670 one of those cars with built in SLI? If so, disable the SLI. Yes you will only be utilising half the card, but many games, inlcuding Arma2, have massive issues with some SLI and Xfire setups, and you may actually get more fps with the SLI part disabled.

No, that's the 690. 670 is a single card.

Hi Stephen ,

What are the rest of your computer components? sorry if I missed it

Arma can be terribly CPU intensive (anything under a quadcore 3.2ghz seem to suffer) it seems to favour the intel CPU's better as well.

Try disabling Post Processing, personally I dont like the effects anyway.

Set HDR on Normal

everything else on High

Disable AA and see how you go.

I got the i5-3570k, with the gtx 670, and 8gb of ram.

What's your 3d and interface resolution?

That plays a big role, even if you have everything else on ultra.

Getting like 70-80fps in the forest and ~60fps in the city with the very high preset. I'm running a 7870.

What kind of CPU are you running? I also have the 7870 but it only sticks around 50 fps and when I'm recording drops to below 30.

Sure, I'd love to see how you're getting 55-60 in the city.

He is talking shit. Even double gtx 690 using an sli bridge get fps drops in cherno/elektro.

60 everywhere but Cherno/Elektro

Running on a Phenom II X4-955, Radeon 7870 and 8GB of RAM.

Resolution and 3D are both set to 1920x1200, and I have most settings on high except for shadows. Shadows always eat up a shit load of processing power.

Im concvinced most of my bad FPS issues are due to the servers somehow.

I mean mostly I get 100 FPS with my 2600k and 3-way SLI of 580 3gb cards, but then on some servers it's a friggin slidshow.

Is there something in the netcode that slows down the client's framerate when the servers got a low tickrate?

I don't know.

I have 2xGTX 690's in QUAD SLi and an i7 3930K CPU.

Jokes. I wish.

I have an i7 2600K @ 4.2Ghz and an Asus GTX 670 DCU2

I'm guessing I get around 40-60 fps.

But I'm completey maxed out, as much as the game would allow.

People getting 60+ fps with hardware that is INFERIOR to mine, your settings are very low.

I find that very difficult to believe.
