Yes it will, if my imac can run it smooth at 2560x1440 then most rigs built after late 2010 should.

Don't get an Alienware, the first one was fine.

I've been running on a reasonably high end system with mostly smooth frame-rates. Arma by itself runs fine pretty much maxed out but DayZ still has problems in main cities but at least it will give you an idea of performance. (Running all high settings Ambient occlusion off, 2xAA, 1080p res v-sync forced off.) Get about 55-65 fps in empty areas and has slowed down to as low as 10-15fps in cities but seems to happen mostly after a long time of playing which is most likely due to optimization issues.

Specs:

i7 950 @ 3.1 GHz

12GB GDDR3 @ 1333MHz

2 x 560Ti @ reference clocks (for stability)

2 x Force series 3 SSD (Raid 0)

2 x WD CB 1TB (Raid 0)

Temperatures are always within acceptable ranges and average loads are 65% on CPU with 35% on GPUs.

Yeah don't get Alienware, it's now owned by Dell and Dell is .... well.

It will definitely be able to run DayZ smoothly, assuming you don't pop up postprocessing or similiar heavy stuff - which you in most cases don't want, since all postprocessing do is mess it all up and cause you to get nausea :P

Short version: Yes, it will.

The first one will definately run day z smooth as silk and it will last you for quite some time. If nothing else I'd probably go for something like a single or duo GTX680 instead of the 560, though. If you really have the money to burn.

GTX690's out as well but that thing's expensive as hell (about 800£), that and dual GTX680's have performed just a few percent over the single GTX690 on a few benchmarks. Depends on the power supply whether or whether not you'd want to run dual GPU's over a single card (takes more power = bigger bill) and more heat generation, etc. which will need to be taken into account.

All in all the first option you posted is what I'd go for, though, if you want a complete package, out of all the three.

Edit: Listen to the wise men and don't get an alienware; much like starbucks you pay for the brand, not the coffee itself.

So If Your Saying Alienware laptops are bad how about the desktop alienware auroura.

Listen to the wise man who told you to listen to the wise men and don't get an alienware; much like starbucks you pay for the brand, not the coffee itself.

If you want something fancy, you would likely be better off with a Maingear or something - https://www.maingear.com/
