I got killed by a building

Recommended Posts

So imagine this - I'm trying to get into that one brick building in Gvozdno by trying to "leap over" it's stairs and guess what happens? My character ends up INSIDE the building's floor and immediatly gets his legs broken and dies seconds after. Of course I wouldn't be mad but I just lost half a month worth of scavenging due to a BUG. I wouldn't be mad either if I haven't lost an SVD due to a BUG.

So my question is - is this a legit reason to send a ticket to rocket or whoever's responsible for retrieving characters to restore my character? I mean obviously I wouldn't do this if I got killed by a DayZ bug but I got killed by an ArmA bug. Opinions?

This is propably in the wrong forum and if it truly is then please can a mod move this?

nope. Thats the ARMA engine for you. You arent the first and you are not the last to die to some BS engine glitch. Just RP that you tripped on the stairs and broke your neck from carrying all that gear.

I'm sure you aren't causing havoc by requesting a character restore thru dayzdevteam@gmail.com but with the amount of 'buggy deaths' occurring, yours is just a needle in a rapidly growing haystack (registered players wise), so I doubt you'll get any answer.

Lost 2 gucci characters to bugs, painful each time but I've learned to accept it. Tough luck bud.

It's an issue you just have to accept. I too have lost some good gear due to bugs and just random deaths from walls and stairs. In the end, you just gotta remember the game is alpha and some crazy shit is bound to happen. I would not suggest emailing them as they need all the time possible to improve the bugs and not fix issues like this.
