is it good to spawn near an airfield?

i know the airfield is a good place for guns mainly but riddled with zombies and players so i wanted to ask is it a good place for my first life in dayz?

Balota airfiled is a quite nice for your first weapon, but on a high pop server it's a bad place to be. Zombies can be easly lost, try playing on a 10-15 players server and loot the airfield there.

Unless you're talking about the NW airfield, which is a whole different story.

all i saw was a barn near it then i was going to it and a massive hoard of zombies got me so. i was also on a server with 2 of my friends and 7 other people so there was 10 including me and thanks its good to know
