God_his_self 7 Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) Battle Eye should change its name to Blind Eye. Its honestly not their fault they was born with lazyitous, and I can understand how long it can take to patch up a four year old game (read - game has been around for 4 YEARS)... so I have a suggestion, change your name to Blind Eye... take away all that pressure to perform! Market yourselfs as an ECO FRIENDLY anti cheat client, and if anyone asks you why your the greenest company on the market tell they you dont even bother to turn your computers on and ask them to get greener then that!Anyways because I UNDERSTAND your dispositions team battle eye, I have even taken the time to brain storm some tag lines for your new company image and im sure the users of this forum can come up with even better ones."Blind eye, We dont see any problems need fixing!""Blind eye, Because hackers need love too!""we have blind eye, lazy eye and even crazy eye, buy now"Please help them with their new image guys. :) Edited August 18, 2012 by God_his_self

Ghost778 18 Posted August 18, 2012 Everytime there is a hack or a cheat, there will be a counter measure, but that also just gives the hackers another task to overcome. I dont care who you are or what kind of security you think is possible, but there is no such thing as completely secure. Nothing is 100% secure and impenitrable. Just wait, complaining wont really do anything but cause people to avoid you like the plague, or report you for spamming. Read that, arma was designed to allow scripting to make any scenario you want, allowing better realism. This is what makes it so easy for the current "hackers" to do their thing, cause its programmed like that. If you seriously care that much about the hackers, just stop playing
God_his_self 7 Posted August 18, 2012 http://dayzmod.com/f...u-need-to-know/Educate yourself. "Trusted client" model - haha please? your telling me they do :) thats even better BS then anything I could have thought up. ok that begs the next question why even bother having an anti cheat system if their model is as such?It really is a weak anti-cheat solution, you have to admit that. Ive just never ever seen it so rampant as it is on day z. Its actually funny, because battle eye would have to be blind not to notice how bad it is, but now at least I know why its a fail's now, it was designed to fail lol because it has a "trusted client model" Edited August 18, 2012 by God_his_self

Do you think its some dude sitting at a computer with dozens of monitors checking server after server for a hacker? Thats what it seems like your infering when you say that it has to be blind to miss them all. Its a program designed to search for scripts that are being run client-side and stop them, which it cant do due to the hooking method, which allows it to go under the radar. Its a program only designed to do so much. Its like shooting the side of a barn and trying to hit the guy inside, but he dug a hole and is just chillin down there with a cup of coffee and the sunday freepress while the bullets fly harmlessly above. twix (DayZ) 24 Posted August 18, 2012 but he dug a hole and is just chillin down there with a cup of coffee and the sunday freepress while the bullets fly harmlessly above. Not just any hole its a massive black hole destroying everything in its path. Battleye has definitely earned it's reputation and continues to succeed in this path of failure and I believe strongly this is the beginning of the end. Battleye has definitely earned it's reputation and continues to succeed in this path of failure and I believe strongly this is the beginning of the end.You are certainly not the first, or last one to say that.Around 50k people, they said hacking was a problem...Then 100k...Then 250k...Now we are over 1million players.Does this justify that its not a problem? Certainly not. Hacking is a serious problem. Is the mod 'beginning to end?' No. Not at all.Its just begining. This is Alpha after all.
