Since the developers are not releasing much information about what items there are, I've decided to start a thread where everyone can post uses of items and what they find. It'd be nice if someone would explain the simplest of the items and what they have found them to be. I'll update the thread once more items and uses are reported.

So far,

Scrap Metal:

Can supposedly repair a gas station, unknown purpose.

Jerry Can:

Apparently refuels vehicles.

I like people that start "information" threads with no information, and because they're too lazy to do some searching they start a thread asking for other people to contribute.

All parts are found in garages, sheds, warehouses and factories. Check out this link to get an idea, and maybe do some more reading and searching first.

Scrap Metal:

Repairs hulls of car/chopper/boat to 100%

Jerry Cans:

Fills up 20 litres of petrol per can. Refilling them is currently bugged at least up to 2.5.3

Unless you're an idiot, the rest should be obvious. Tires repair tires, engine parts repair engine, etc.

Some dude should start a wiki. Scrap metal also repairs helicopters and cars. Jerry cans do what jerry cans do best.
