Helicopter not working?

Hello fellow survivors,

So I found a helicopter last night that had all components with the exception of the instruments repaired, which I found online were not necessary for the helicopter to function. I searched for jerry cans as it was out of fuel, so when I finally found some and refueled the chopper, it didn't contribute to the tank at all. It remains at 0. The fuel tank is fully repaired, am I missing something?

choppers are weird they not only take fuel tank parts, they also take lots of windscreen and scrap metal to fix the fuel tank, otherwise it will leak and leak even when not being used. http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/UH-1H_Huey

To completely repair (green status) a broken (red status) you will need: Part Amount Engine Parts 1 Main Rotary Parts 1 Scrap Metal 4 Windscreen Glass 9

I'll try these things but everything is green on it except the instruments, which is red.

glad i can help, but handling a chopper by yourself is hard as hell, me and my clan have 20people only 3 of us including me are pilots. i recommend training your chopper abilities in arma. Launch normal arma 2 and click "singleplayer" and click "editor" then click "chernarus" then find a location on the map and double-click, where it says "man" click the dropdown and select "air" then move to the right and use the dropdown to select a HU-1H Huey.

i know its confusing ^^^ but try it word for word and patient. if you want to be able to look at that ^^ and play arma, then launch it with -window and resize it as best.
