Problem with DayZ (Friend) (Non-Steam)

My friend bought the retail version from amazon. He got both games.

He tried installing DayZ from DayZCommander but he is getting a issue getting kicked from servers saying

"DayZ Kicked from server saying requires 1.1.68"

What's wrong? I cant help him since I bought it off Steam.

He has a nonsteam version

Did your friend patch Arma2/OA to latest "OFFICIAL VERSION", no just beta version. Arma patches are not cumulative and will require a few steps.

Not sure if this is issue, but "DayZ Kicked from server saying requires 1.1.68" sounds like your friend does not have required Arma patches.

Step1: install Arma2

Step2: install Arma2 OA

Step3:combind Arma2+Arma2OA to create Arma2CO

Hmmm not sure what battleeye is, but in

battle eye is arma 2's anti cheat. you can install this from their website http://www.battleye.com/

The only problem is battle eye so just do this and forget the other guys post

I'm pretty sure he has the latest version. I went on his computer and looked at this version when I open up Arma 2. It says

Arma 2 Version 1.62.xxxx forgot the rest and dayz was 1.7.2.5

Not sure what's wrong?

ok as others said the problem isn't with your arma 2 version but your battleye version. go to the battleye website, download the latest update, and install it.
