Skills and more social elements

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I read the interview on rock, paper, shotgun and they said that they may include skills/ want to add a more social element to the game instead of shooting on sight. So my idea is that a player starts off with a random level 1 skill. If they use the specific skill the can level it up. But other skills that have not been unlocked yet cannot level up. So if 2 players come together and stay in proximity of each other for an extended period of time than the player 2 will unlock the same skill as player 1, and visa versa. Or another idea is that if 2 players sit together by a fire or something, there will be an option called "Share Stories" and it will unlock the skill for player 2. Now if 2 players come together that have the same skill than it will automatically level up to 2 after a while. Anyway that's my idea feel free to comment and problems in it. Cheers :D

He siad he didn't want skill points. So it would probably be closer to "so and so can do Y...until they meet someone else who can X...then they, too, can do X...now they can both do X and Y"

He was talking about learning skills that other people have, not learning completely new skills just by being around new people.
