Just grab CO man. This game's exploded for a reason, it's amazing. ;)

As for the other expansions, I think that'll be a decision best made by you after you've played awhile.

Unless you want Arma 2, don't buy Arma 2 right now for DayZ. It's not seeing many improvements right now and best to just wait for the standalone since it's on the horizon and your gonna have to buy that anyways.

Take the cost of Arma II CO (~$30 USD) and divide that cost by the number of hours you think you might sink into this game in a 4 month period (Oct'12-Nov'12 is ETA of standalone). Even if you only play for 40 hours before the standalone comes out that's $30/40hrs=$0.75/hr. Now go compare that to any other form of entertainment you enjoy, weep, and then BUY IT NAO!
