albinowiesel 0 Posted August 17, 2012 Hello, after a few weeks of connection, battleeye, and other problems I am finaly able to join the most servers on first attempt. That's not bad. But now I've got an other huge problem: Extremly low FPS! I don't talk about frame drops to 20 or so.I have under 5 FPS! That is 100% unplayable. I run DayZ 1.7.2.5 and Arma II Beta 95885.inb4: I reinstalled Arma, DayZ and Battleeye. Yes, my computer hardware is able to run Arma.Oh, and I tried this as well: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2782938Now i have 120 FPS on the menu, still under 5 in game. Using Fraps to monitor my frames.Any solutions / more ideas what I could try?Greetings.
pwnage13371 147 Posted August 17, 2012 (edited) What are your system specs and what are your settings set at. Try lowering the view distance, because that is not nesscary as well as the resoultion.Oh and definately the 3d resolution. Just to the point where it is not blurry. albinowiesel 0 Posted August 17, 2012 Hi and thanks for the answers so far. What are your system specs and what are your settings set at. Try lowering the view distance, because that is not nesscary as well as the resoultion.Oh and definately the 3d resolution. Just to the point where it is not blurry.I've tested my graphic setting with the Benchmark Missions. There I've got ~90 FPS up close and ~40 FPS looking in the distance. The settings are mostly on normal, 1500 distance and 1920x1080 3D resolution. At this point I have to say that I dont understandwhy I have to put the graphic options to normal. It's like the game is wasting resources like hell. I run Skyrim and Battlefield 3 onthe maximum settings with the same computer but have to use normal for Arma. A game from 2009 / 2010? What the hell?!Take a look at your Windows Energy Settings (Energieoptionen), resetting these to default solved my FPS Problems. My energy options are fine, but thanks.
