Copgun 2 Posted May 29, 2012 Hello,I've(probably others to) always wondered why blood doesn't regenerate, it would be more realistic. What I suggest is that blood regenerates slowly while your hunger/thirst are in the green. The regeneration wouldn't be fast enough replace the need for blood transfusions as those would still be the easiest and fastest way to get blood.

LeYuno (DayZ) 51 Posted May 29, 2012 I don't think regeneration should be in this game. it would eliminate the need to go for food and people would get reckless. Please don't look for casual game mechanics in DayZ.
scoffield77@gmail.com 192 Posted May 29, 2012 wouldn't mind it regenerating, but it would have to be slow. not HALO 3 shitMaybe 1,000 blood for 15 or 30 mins.
v1adimirr 9 Posted May 29, 2012 Maybe 1' date='000 blood for 15 or 30 mins.[/quote']I'd say 500 every hour tops. Food would be pointless otherwise.
Chocolate_Fantasy 1 Posted May 29, 2012 The game already has indirect, but slow, regeneration of blood. You're forced to eat food every so often, or you'll die. You get some blood every time you eat food. Therefore, you're forced to get some blood every so often.
titub 0 Posted May 29, 2012 Human regenerate blood on time, IRL. In game, 3000 or 4000 per day seems sufficient, no ?
Chocolate_Fantasy 1 Posted May 29, 2012 A human being can completely regenerate half a liter (~7% of total volume) of lost blood in 4-6 weeks. Any noticeable regeneration other than the blood gained from regular eating of food is unrealistic and a bad idea, if realism is your goal.Source:http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=463638
Strategos (DayZ) 190 Posted May 29, 2012 Anything that makes the game more forgiving is pretty much a no no in my opinion not to mention unrealistic.
