Recommended Posts

I am considering hosting a server @ my shop. With the following hardware and bandwidth should i have a problem hosting a DayZ Server. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Hardware:

Dual Xeon E5620 processors running @ 2.4GHZ

24gb ECC Unbuffered memory

2TB HDD Raid 1+0

Intel S550SCR Motherboard

Redundant Server Power Supplies

3000 watt UPS Power Backup.

Bandwidth:

10/10MBps up/down Connection burstable to 100/100MBps up/down(Upgrading soon to 50/50MBps Up/Down)

Software:

Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard

Sql Server 2008 Enterprise

I already have this hardware and such in place and ready to go. Just looking to see if i should signup for rights to host this and move forward or just not worry about it.

i think you should just try to find the "apply for a server here" topic and read it or a server hosting rules topic. you might find links to the proper pages to do what you are wishing.

good luck!
