septuscap 42 Posted May 29, 2012 The one common motif I hear is that it's "trigger happy CoD kiddies" that are ruining the experience by KILLING you. How are immature children getting the JUMP on you? You're not doing yourself any favors by pretending it's not your shit play that's frustrating you.
Vipeax 318 Posted May 29, 2012 A lot of potential customers that won't spend their money?Mmm, I think we did something wrong in the finance department in that case.To be clear on this, DayZ isn't your typical EA/Blizzard game where a below average player can be god because his UI tells him to move left in 3 seconds or that you have to enter this random door. The whole point is that it's YOU who decides, it's YOU who gets screwed over by your own decisions and it's YOU who makes the game.
Glycerine 2 Posted May 29, 2012 Try this. Instead of worrying about getting "major" loot. Scout. If you see another player, get out of line of sight and just watch. What is he doing? Going for loot? Killing zombies? Scouting for other players attempting to gun them down? Hell, follow him from a treeline for a bit. Wait until he contacts another player and watch his reaction. If he guns him down in cold blood without any contact, ambush and kill him for his stuff. Likewise, if the player does that to him, attempt to intervene to save his life. Who knows. It is your decisions that ultimately define the experience and obviously you need to make better ones if you're getting killed by random CoD kiddies.
