A Few Questions About Cars

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We found a car some days ago, that cool little s1203 Van but we damaged it and now can't repair it. We have put wheels on every wheel point and then some but when we sit in it, the wheel icon is yellow and the thing is undrivable so we've ditched it (We also had a bus that some prick decided to just blow up in the middle of berezino and then disconnect. We weren't even near it at the time and he was the only other player on the server and just happened to be where we were...)

- are the vehicles bugged for fixing them?

For a couple of days now our small group has been trying to find some vehicles and we have been scouring the map looking for them. We are using an online map that shows locations though I think now this is slightly out of date. Either way we basically are just going to the area around where they are marked and looking for them but so far have found nothing and we've covered quite a lot of ground.

- Do vehicles respawn on a server restart even if someone has already taken and saved that vehicle someplace else? (so affectively it makes another one of those vehicles)

- Do all vehicles spawn on the map or is there just a chance of them spawning?

I've read of people hording vehicles so I understand they may have already been taken which sucks but little we can do about that. Any other tips for finding vehicles or fixing them would be appreciated.

sometimes it's hard to get the damaged section you want to repair to appear in the scroll list and it can get especially confusing with wheels as there are four of them and even with one damaged wheel only the option to repair the good wheels shows up. You have to keep circling the vehicle until you get all the parts listed in red.

As far as i know vehicles don't duplicate, if it respawns the original doesn't stay where it was. I think the vehicle "save" feature is bugged at the moment though as it doesn't seem to work very reliably

if a vehicle has been destroyed it normally takes 7 days to respawn, make sure you have all the right parts to fix the vehicle other than that it may be glitched and not worth the effort, (maybe why it was dumped there in the 1st place)

Most of the vehicles on a server have been hidden by clans or small groups... scour the edges of the maps or up nr Gumba and you may strike it lucky.

in the latest patch though vehicles don't tend to save for some reason and are a little bit of a waste of time.

OK our vehicle we repaired all the wheels but they were all grean. So we put wheels on the left and right front, LF and RF and rear wheels and even middle wheels. Are you saying that if the wheel shows up green it's not the right wheel and we need to see it a different colour? thanks :)

Fixing vehicles works fine, you should only repair the parts that show up yellow/red in the context menu.

If you want basic vehicles i suggest you fix up a few ATVs.

They are small (aka easy to hide), fast both on- and off-road, have the same amount of storage space as larger vehicles like the UAZ or Bus and easy to find.

There are spawnpoints on a mountain between cherno and elektro, west of khelm, and near a house north of NEAF, all of which can spawn up to 2 ATVs.

Checking these spawnpoints should net you one pretty fast.

The only downside is that they sometimes flip over and it takes some practice to get them back up again, but theres plenty of how-to videos on youtube.

Also never ever drive into harbors or over bridges with an ATV...
