zombdrac 0 Posted May 29, 2012 Today, on the radio, a man, let's call him "jim", was broadcasting his position: "Help, my legs are broken, my blood is low, can someone please help me?"He proceeded to broadcast his position on global.I winced at his naivety. Two minutes later, he comes back on global. He's thanking a man that he sees coming down the beach from him: "Thank you, I have blood bags in my backpack, feel free to take one for yourself, I appreciate the help."I smile, chancing on a hope that this Good Samaritan is just that.30 seconds later... "jim" is dead, the news relay says.Everyone who was rooting for him voices their indignation and displeasure that someone would do this. The chatbox is abuzz. But the faceless murderer slinks off back into the forests without a word.
Bazeel 0 Posted May 29, 2012 Another naive soul learning the harsh realities of DayZ. Hopefully he will learn from his mistake, as will all others voicing their displeasure at the murder. Just another day over the coms. Godspeed 'Jim'.
cimex 0 Posted May 29, 2012 It's not like he could have done much else, and maybe the slim chance of finding a helpful person was better, in his eyes, than crawling to a city and hoping to find morphine.
Bandit Hunter 29 Posted May 29, 2012 Yeah, whats there to learn. He was either going to die due to broken legs and lack of blood, or from a bandit. Might as well take the chance, if he wasn't going to hit the respawn button himself.
Mjolnir (DayZ) 1 Posted May 29, 2012 At least this way his stuff doesn't go to waste.
vibe 26 Posted May 29, 2012 I still laugh at people who ask "friendly at NW airport?". NOONE is friendly up there.

Reaper (DayZ) 2 Posted May 29, 2012 Poor Jim, he took a chance in a world of wolves and lambs & just happened to chance upon a wolf on this particular day. RIP buddy, maybe next time you'll find that kinder person.
LastShenanigan 8 Posted May 29, 2012 Weird! Jim just started his first thread here on the forums. Apparently... after being murdered once, he feels that the mod is turning into COD/BF/CS/AVP/HALO/Goldeneye/UT/DOOM/COD AGAIN/QUAKE/Duck Hunt?Killzone/Gears/Duke Nukem Death Match. dazza_bo 2 Posted May 29, 2012 It does seem shitty but I think that's the logical outcome of this game. People try and help each other and get burnt. What if Jim turned around and shot old mate in his back as he was running away after giving him help? That's why this game is so interesting.
