could someonee please help me with the installation process, i extracted them to the @dayz/addons folder, but my screen just gets stuck on the 'loading' screen

Do you start the Mod ?

This needs to be added to the startup parameter : -mod=@dayz

remove what you did, and use http://www.dayzcommander.com/

Then update everything on versions tab, and start surviving.

Dayzcommander is nice, many people are using it, but at the moment i am in love with http://play.withsix.com/ it is the new much more userfriendly version of the same team that made the sixlauncher. with this programm i had no trouble at all to run the game on the newest patch.
