Why geared up players are hard to kill

Recommended Posts

Headshot if you are having problems with people disconnecting.. Or try private hives. Take your time on the first shot and make it count so it is an instant kill, if you can.

<p>

I can think of a million reasons that someone might DC...

eg. you're on route to give one of your friends medical assistance, your vehicle gets damaged, you've run around for an hour scavenging parts for it, all of a sudden you get shot at by someone whose sole purpose is PVP... what's going through the head of the DC'er... going to lose my gear, friend is possibly going to die, going to lose the vehicle....

So, yeah it's not like queensbury rules, but sometimes people just dont want to be involved in the bean wars.

People get so caught up in there own world of play that they forget that others may have a different agenda.

"People get so caught up in there own world of play that they forget that others may have a different agenda."Straight back at'cha.Seems you are so caught up in saving your vehicle/friend you have forgotten that others agenda is to kill you, steal your shit and take your wheels. You know, like they are entitled too. You seem to be just trying to justify why you alt+f4. What your doing there is just as bad as starting combat yourself and bailing. I know you process it as "I'm just saving my hard work" but thats the thing, you aren't playing fair, by leaping you are spoiling someone else hard work ambushing you.

I have good gear and im not hard to kill, usually takes 1 sniper round as soon as I spawn in on a server with 1 other person.

(did that the other day, spawned in next to a guy scoping out a city with a sniper, was just us on the server and I spawned in next to him, he never saw me and headed into town :) )

Plus i have plenty of gear in my camp, so dont care much about dying

The best method to counter and I've seen this work very well in other games is as follows:

1) Alt-4 or any other insta disconnect should keep your character in game for at least 60 seconds.

2) If you're in combat, you cannot gracefully disconnect for "x" amount of minutes

3) To gracefully log out, you must not be in combat and select logout which initiates a logout timer of 15 seconds. If you enter combat within that 15 seconds, the graceful log out timer resets back to 15 seconds and does not start again until you are out of combat.

In my opinion, Disconnecting to avoid pvp in a pvp game is as much of a cheat as any of the script kiddies.

Better yet, Have it so you cannot logout in x amount of time if another player is x distance from you.

Nah,can be abused to easy as an 'detect player' exploit. Tap Button > See Timer > Abort quit > Hunt nearby player.

I agree with the rush of a good firefight bandaging shooting and maybe come out on top if I die so be it guy deserves my gear

I got killed in Maruko yesterday (lingor). I had the coyote backpack, m9sd, m14 aim, m24, m4a3 cco on me (and every item except nightvision/rangefinder). I managed to kill the guy who shot at me, but I didn't disconnect. Once I respawned and started heading north, I quickly got another ak and then found a glitched body inside one of the medium yield barracks...pretty much got everything back off of his body :P

Alt+f4 just ruins the fun in the game. Sure, you may have had some great gear, but searching for that gear again increases the replay-ability, making the game fun.

I alt f4 because of zombies. I specifically go to small servers because I'm not a PvPer. Only killed one person.

Goes to low pop servers to avoid pvp. Alt f4 from the zeds.

What ?

Fully geared up with an L85 and M107. Died to a sniper who I saw first and had failed with the first 4 shots trying to range me.

Shot while trying to descend from my sniper perch in Cherno, there was no other way out and I had put myself in a compromising situation in the first place. I had a good 10 seconds where I could've combat logged and gotten away scot-free. (Like I said, the guy kept missing.) Didn't because I have a bit more class than that.

So no, I have absolutely no respect for any pussy who combat-logs. 1 hit kill weapons were not designed with this in mind, that only legitimizes the logger's tactics, cowardly as they are.

So many people take the coward's way out and refuse to own up to the fact that they've been out-maneuvered and outgunned. You cheapen the experience for yourself but mostly for us who have to put up with your childish bullshit.

Dying sucks but at least I have my gamer-honor.
