Beta Patch won't install...ever

So I am having trouble updateing Arma II. I have tried installing beta patches for about a week... about 30 times.

I have tried different patches, SIXupdater, DayZ Commander.

Dayz Commander even says "Update successful" or sth, but still shows that I am running revision 95248.

All advice is welcome, especially good advice.

Alright, lets start from scratch.

1.) Uninstall Six Launcher and DayZ Commander, make sure the folders are deleted as well.

2.) Uninstall Operation Arrowhead, and make sure the folder is deleted as well because the DayZ files will probably remain

3.) Reinstall Operation Arrowhead.

4.) Launch Operation Arrowhead once, then exit.

5.) Install DayZ Commander and update all the necessary files.

Backuping it now and then reinstalling from it wont help, i assume?

Update: I tried that, uninstalled/deleted everything(Sixlauncher, DayzCommander, Arma 2 and oa) redownloaded, reinstalled and when i updated/downloaded everything with DayzCommander, the game didnt even start.

The versions page still showed, that I was running revision 95248.

I have now deleted absolutely everything even remotely related to arma2/dayz and downloaded the Arma 2 and OA again.

I would now like to recieve some actual support, before I fk everything up again with random guides from random folk.

i am haveing same issue glad u have confirmed reinstall is not worth the time :P

my game has just gone to shit for no apparent reason

dayz commander crashes on boot,the game refuses to update, i can get on some servers some that dont seem to be

the same version like uk172 but if i try other server even ones that appear to be correct version i will go into the suspended

loading phase (i may be being impatiant with some servers here but this game it trying it) oh and to top it off after the endless loading phase is alt tabbed and program closed next time i actualy get on a server i will be on the coast

Then you need to not start Steam or launch the game through Six Launcher.

For me, it f¤#ks up the game. I dont know why but the game wont start with the right version.

It does works however if you start it from the "ARMA2 Launcher".

It seems everything else is operational, besides the infamous crash on launch.

I have tried the conventional fixes and they are absolutely useless.

However it helps when I restart my computer.

Sometimes it is enough if i restart it once... sometimes 5 restarts are not enough.

Where does one find the elusive "ARMA2 Launcher" ?

Here: http://www.armaholic...id=6649 Bottom of the page. Its a bit of fixing with the paths to the game and the mod but then you should be able to run the game with the right version.
