Cardo (DayZ) 0 Posted May 3, 2012 A few things I had some questions on or statements------------------------------------------------------------Crossbows >.>-Zombie Weight?!-Ladders with Grease on the top?-Zombies professional boxers?Crossbows, am I the only one that thinks crossbow is a little under powered? You have to rely on getting a head shot, which doesn't always kill. Bolts spawn has been increased but it would be cooler if they stacked due to how weak they are. Zombies have weight? 6 times out of 10 when I kill a zombie in close proximity an they fall on me I get knocked out... Its crazy! Is it that the zombie is hitting me while its dying? or Does the zombie weigh about 2 tons crushing my character?Ladders lol, Not gonna go to far into detail with this since this is a common complaint. But isnt it funny how the character only slips of the ladder at the top? My friend fell off a ladder 6 times last week an I thought it was user error, then it happen to me 3 times in a row... Ladders are often more deadly then Zombies x Players who shoot anything that moves.Zombie Mayweather, Mike Zombie Tyson... Zombies who have the ability to falcon punch, shoryuken, and or haymaker the shit out of you in their first hit.. Stated in a previous update zombie knock out rate was 5%... This is false. Are the monkey zombies stronger? is their knockout rate higher? Still the regular zombies have a pretty high knock out rate. maybe the developers made the rate 95% on accident... or maybe my character is pussy an has a weak chin.All in all I love this mod, These are just a few things that make my experience in DayZ a slightly more hilarious one and sometimes frustrating.CARDO!:D Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
cyrus231 2 Posted May 3, 2012 Ladders are an ARMA II engine problem, not something these guys will be able to fix. Just have to be careful. Ladder Tips - Always have your primary weapon out, not a pistol when climbing if you have it. If you must climb and only have a pistol, hitting the key to step over (it's "V" for me) when you're at the top and about to fall sometimes works. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Foolski 13 Posted May 5, 2012 A tip of mine is to continue pressing W when your at the top getting off the ladder. If you stop you will most likely fall, so keep W pressed.Also no matter how many tips and tricks you have for overcoming the formidable ladders of Arma 2 there's always the possibility you can fall and die. In other words try to avoid them. If you come across the biggest tower you've ever seen with a ladder up the side that might as well have a sign of a troll face on it don't go up!
