Stuck in an infinite spawn loop

So yesterday I was helping a friend by giving him a blood transfusion. Right after I did it, the game decided to out of nowhere label me as a bandit because it changed my skin. That isn't the problem though. Now everytime I log off and log back on, my stats reset and I spawn back at the shoreline as if I started a new character while still having all of my stuff. I've tried getting myself killed and retrieving my body later on, but even then I'm still labeled as a bandit and I still spawn at the beach everytime. This is starting to get annoying as I can't do hiking trips with a few buddies without considering doing everything in one login. Has anybody else ran into this problem?
