Put that in there because some people think just because its a torrent nothing can be good about. Look at it this way, one the two way you update DayZ is through a torrent. Nothing illegal about that. If want to check whats in the file there's a site link.

Not all torrentz are illegal lol. But ive always wondered about hooking a controller up, but figured there were way too many buttons and not enough on the controller.

Works just fine. You can readjust the buttons if there's one there that you don't feel you need. I put in everything I felt was needed for a quick button press.

idiots seem to take the view that it is only used for illegal things, without really having a clue to base that assumption on.

I use Xpadder with a custom profile. I still use my mouse to aim & such. I hold the controller in the other hand with all my vital hotkeys at a thumbs press. I just like walking with the stck much more fluid. I woulnd't play this game purely with a controller you'll lose the firefights more times than win imo.

I play the same way. stick for movement and mouse for aim/shoot :D

Personally I think native support is shit and unintuitive. Xpadder gets me where I need to be control wise with a minimum of fuss. Aiming is worse than with a mouse but you can't have everything in life. .

I don't see the need to use xpadder, you can map controls for an xbox controller in the game and make use of the analogue controls for vehicles.

There is an issue that if you don't start the game with the controller connected it forgets your mapping. If like me you want to save battery power then just make sure that the controller is connected when you start the game and then turn it back on when you want to use it.
