I'm in a possible sniper battle, what do

I found a helicopter crash site east of Novy Sobor. There was a dead guy at it with an LMG. I see NVGs at the site (which I don't have), but the dead guy was bleeding out of his face, so I figured that a sniper must be nearby. I have an M107/ghillie/PDW and am looking at the crash site from 300 meters away in a pine tree. What should I do?

Scan the surroundings, if it's clear and you can't see anyone go to the crashsite and have a good loot. :D

I've scanned the surroundings, but I'm pretty sure he is in a separate treeline that I can't see from my position. I've been watching this site for twenty odd minutes.

If you see a person or hear gunshots then alt+f4 obviously.

cirlce the area arround the site until you make a complete circle.. if clear go in. Also you can go opposite side of heli from the dead body.. keep moving so sniper has to shoot more than once at you.

Just wait for another player to approach it, if all is clear kill them and take the NVG's :D

The sniper ran out to check his kill, and I shot him. He's dead; disappointingly, just a CZ550 and camo clothes. The LMG guy didn't have any ammo. Got the NVGs. Cheers!

Patience always wins. As long as you're there, and aren't spotted, those NVGs aren't going anywhere. :)

Edit: Ah, you nailed em. I bet he's legit pissed. Karma works in mysterious ways. He shoots some poor bastard looting, and then he gets shot doing the same thing as his victim. He was probably like OMG NVGS YESSS.. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!

Grats on the NVG, just liberated a pair of some guy that came into Stary tents last night that killed my buddy and didn't know I was there, even though I aggro'd Zeds like 3 times. He took my buddies stuff then started checking the tents, so i lit him up with my AKM.
