If I wait long enough on a hung loading screen, will I join?

Long loading does not mean you will join.

Just try another server, for me it normally loads withing 1 minute

No, when it happens (more than 3 minutes or so) your game is frozen.

BUT. IF you wait 11 minutes you will wait out the timer that sends you to the beach.

1. See LOADING...

2. Force close dayz

3. Wait 11 minutes

4. Log back in

This SHOULD work. (it has worked for me)

Typically long loading (over five minutes or so) means you were actually kicked and the applet crashed. If you can ESC back to the lobby it's loading correctly, if not it's not.

Waiting 11 minutes each time... I'd be waiting an hour per server. 60-70% of servers I join get hung.

My experience, FWIW, is that if there are less than 10 people on that server, it's either nightime or bad server.

I always shutdown my game when it freezes on loading and I never spawn on the beach.

I want to spawn on the beach sometimes... mm... Cherno/Electro.

Funny how that works. Most of you carebears want to get away from those places. While myself, would love to spawn there instantly, fully geared, ready to terminate anything that moves.

Also, as an ending note... I guess all that loot surfing finally caught up with most of you.
