Fix the Ammo and Tents and u fix the sniper problem?

There's a reason rare items are rare items in the game. They were obviously meant to be hard to come by and the ammo would be scare as well. Since you can dup ur gear this makes the whole rarity issue obsolete. Since you can disconnect with 1 bullet in each of your magazines and reconnect and they're all full again makes rare ammo obsolete (you don't even have to go back to your tent).

How many "snipers" would bother to sit on a hill and snipe if they only had 2 mags worth of ammo and never knew when the next lot would turn up?

I had a CZ550 with 2 clips of ammo - 10 bullet. I used the lot covering my mates as they went to an airfield then I had to get up and run in cqb. The rifle is gone now because I had to chose between what gear benefited our group as a whole. I was gutted, more so because it was the only long range weapon we had but choices have to be made...

Isn't that the point of this game?

No they didn't - how much have you played game with 1.7.2.5 update?

No, the ammo glitch still works.

If they:

Fix item duplication completely (yes, this would also mean hackers being unable to spawn items, which I think is not possible)

Fix the ammo glitch

Reset the database entirely

We'd have a whole new mod, much close to the so called "earlier days".

It's safe to assume fewer rifles and less ammo will mean fewer murders with these weapons, yes. That's kind of just simple math.

I wouldn't call what we have now a particularly pressing "problem," though. Unless you're in Cherno/Elektro fire stations or raiding Stary Sobor/NWAF in broad daylight I've never found snipers to be much of an issue.

Fewer free car parts might mean it's easier to find vehicles, too, incidentally. Engines are rare.

Ammo glitch is not fixed. You active gun clip will always refresh. They fixed the clips in your bag but not the active clip.

You are right sir. And obviously that's the direction that's intended, and one that I trust they'll get to. The only question is will they do it, can they do it within the frame work of the mod or will it be only available in the stand alone version.

But, all that being said, and you being right, if duping, tents, et al, are corrected and you find yourself making those decisions, then things will heat up again. People will be loot farming, camping high value loot spawns, the game's attempt to push you into those decisions will be suplanted by the need to control the areas where items can be looted.

Which is okay with me. In the end, without duping and bugged out tents, you'd have to way the use of resources in the possible gaining of more/new resources.
