sostronk 334 Posted August 16, 2012 Anyone got any? :P Want to try my hand at it after next time I die. I want to get my humanity up and help other players. I mostly play solo. Im not really sure how to start, thinking head to cherno, get food, water and medical supplies and then start getting close enough to players to offer my assistance. Angel Knight 427 Posted August 16, 2012 Talk to someone from the RRF or the TMW, they can probably point you in the right direction.Do not randomly approach people in game to offer assistance, you will just die over and over. Looks for rescue requests on the forums and on reddit.Most medics do not travel alone. If you really want to try the lone wolf medic routine, talk to MikaelM, he's probably the most successful with that thus far.Ask members of Trusted Medics of the Wasteland (TMW) about bodyguards, or ask Walking Militia, Chernaurus Quarantine Force (CQF), or Chernaurus National Defense Force (CNDF) to provide an escort. Zeromentor 169 Posted August 16, 2012 Use Stealth to close gaps, don't run in the open.Put MEDIC in your name, so people on nametagged servers are less likely to shoot you (many won't care and will anyhow).Do not hold a weapon. There is a small minority out there that does not track and kill unarmed players unless they do something wrong (zombie train, stare, etc), but most will kill you anyhow.Do not wear camo or ghillies. People won't even check to see if you are a medic, they'll believe you are an aggressive traveler from the north and put you down hoping for an AS50 or M4A1 CCO SD.Use cover, don't start communications in their sightlines. If they don't respond or respond with a monotonous "Friendly" without any feeling or emotion in their voice, they are just busy... Lining up their sights with your head.If someone tells you to run away, do it.I feel those are just fairly common sense, but I added them to the thread anyhow. Have fun and good luck. If you're hit anywhere with an AS 50, you're instantly killed. Speaking of which, where do you find mags for that damn thing? I hate shooting it because of ammo scarcity.
