Actually, it's more about the game than the hardware. The more zombies, players, objects and moving vehicles there are on the map the worse your fps will get. I have an i7 with a top tier gpu and I have around 40-50 fps in cities like Cherno & Elektro. Some servers give me 120 fps while I could have 40 on others.

I've got same frame rate with 2500k @4GHz. Glad that didn't waste my money on i7.

Arma 2 is an unoptimized piece of shit. The same card will easily run BF3 on ultra at 60+ FPS average.

I have an i5 3570k, 16gb ram, ssd, evga 670 and it runs the same when recording.
