Using Arma 2 OA instead of Six?

I got DayZ last week or two and I been using Six Launcher to update, verify and search for servers. But I want to use Shift+Tab to open the Steam chat. So, I boot up Arma 2 operation arrowhead, find a server and it won't let me join. I click on it, and goes to the screen where is shows who is in the room, then takes me back to the server list. Either that or it says it's a bad version.

When it takes me back, some words come up on the left side of the screen but the servers won't let me read what it says.

Seperate question, I noticed on the website, there is a new update, but on Six Launcher, it's the previous update. Will the Six Launcher automatically update when ready? Thanks for your guys input.

Because you are trying to run Operation Arrowhead's MP mate.

You need to change your launch options and enable the game to launch with the patch.

That will let you update to the latest version, and in the options tab, select steam overlay, and you got it working with steam.

You can also use your STEAM overlay with SIX Launcher or "Play with SIX". No problem.

Just launching Arma2 won't help you with DayZ. :)

So, I downloaded Dayzcommander, so far i like it, it updates, filter by day, ping, open steam overlay, but it won't le me join any servers. I double click on a server with low ping, i filtered it so it hides the unplayable, hides wrong arma 2 version, and hides wrong dayz version. I pick a server, and i get those little check marks, then Dayz logo pops up, then i get a message saying it's the bad version and sends me back to the arma 2 server list. :/ I tried at least 5 servers and i get the same message. everything is up to date, and i'm only searching servers that are up to date. Any ideas?

EDIT: I got it working. I had to Replace original ArmA2OA files with Beta so Steam works since i want to launch it with Steam.
