TheCoolestCat 1 Posted May 28, 2012 Why are there so many fucking duplicate threads?THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, ROCKET WOULD HAVE TO MAKE A NEW INTERIOR FOR EVERY BUILDING AND IT WOULD TAKE TOO LONG!

Slyguy65 499 Posted May 29, 2012 OMFG yes i know there are many towns where there is only one enter able building in the whole town all that is needed is to get rid of some of the closed ones and replace it with opened ones nuff said.
GENDERS 3 Posted May 29, 2012 OK, think of it this way...they're barricaded shut and the windows have paper or sheets over them to keep out the Zombies, Bandits and needy carebear survivors?
_Profile_Shame 37 Posted May 29, 2012 there is a way that would work by having 3 or 4 room types depending on how many different sizes of buildings there are, it would require a load screen to load the new 'map' whenever entering or exiting.. its not really viable but maybe arma 3 will remedy this? sniperhunter 5 Posted May 29, 2012 This is a map issue, which would take a while to edit. It would probably be more beneficial to just switch to a different map *Cough* Island Panthera or Lingor *Cough*

GhostfaceKillah (DayZ) 3 Posted May 29, 2012 I believe in an interview with Rocket he had said that the modular way in which the loot system is done means he could make a current Arma2 map 'DayZ ready' in a few hours. At this point though it makes more sense to focus on building out other features of the game and scaling from there than to switch to a different map or modify Chernarus. There's already been issues with the loot system causing FPS drops, so more buildings would be worse, and increase load times. Eventually everything will settled feature-wise and be optimized and then they can look at changing the map.And its not a case of ctrl-c ctrl-v on the map.. :|
