Weapon changing Type

So when I logged out last night with my one guy, he had a M4A1 CCO SD. When I logged back in this morning before work it was a M4A1 HOLO SD.

I know this isn't a gun in the game and I know that this has happened to others before.

My question is this.

Has anybody that this has happened to ever had their guns change back eventually?

I don't do the whole PVP thing and I have no intention of ever using the launcher I just use the SD for the occasions I head into the northern villages looking for supplies. I prefer not to keep it if it isn't going to change back but I don't want to just dump it and be left weaponless until I can find something else.
