Fordo77 0 Posted May 28, 2012 I just started playing DayZ, and I must say I absolutely love it. It is by far the most realistic and "fun" (if terror, paranoia, and stress can be called fun) zombie apocalypse shooter out there, but the zombies aren't exactly what I would define as "zombies". When I think of zombies, I think of slow and shambling monsters that only a headshot can kill. Creatures that operate in huge swarms that eventually overwhelm and kill you. In DayZ, other players are by far a greater threat than the zombies. I would personally like some improvements to the way zombies behave - slower, but larger swarms (definitely not an upgrade in speed or damage). I feel like having a swarm of zombies slowly shambling towards you, and knowing that there is no way you can kill them all, and there is nothing you can do but run is far more terrifying than having a couple of zombies sprint towards you, only to be killed in one shot. I also think headshots on zombies should be required for a kill, while hits anywhere else will just slow them down (maybe they could eventually kill them, but it would take at least 5 shots). I'm sure this has been suggested many, many times before, but I really feel like it could improve the game by making zombies a greater and more realistic threat. I have no idea how this would be done, but maybe someone else has an idea. It should also be said that I can foresee many ways in which these changes could cause problems, but I think that if implemented correctly this could work. Once again, I'm sure this has been suggested before, and I'm sure many people don't want this, so please don't flame me. I just thought I'd share my point of view on the topic.
