DayZ/arma 2 problems

Hello,

When update 1.7.2.5 was released my friend told me i had to have a clean install of Arma 2:Operation Arrowhead and then told me to go into steam right click Arma2:OA and press "delete local content", so i went ahead and did that after the re-download finished i downloaded the launcher called "DayZ Commander" and i set the paths required to my Arma 2, Arma 2:OA, and my dayz folder which is i presume the @DayZ inside the OA folder, after i set the paths i pressed download updates for DayZ and Arma 2, the DayZ download worked fine it had no problems installing but the Arma 2 had a problem it came in a small box on my desktop stating "Wrong CD key" and when that cancels itself i attempt to load the game it loads but then it minimises then says "Bad serial number given in setup".

I need the help badly i will do anything to attempt to fix my game.

P.S. If it matters i bought the game and OA off of the steam store.

Start steam and run both ArmA2 and ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead at least once (no need to play anything, just start the game till the main menu and exit).

This should put the CD Key at your registry and will fix the message you recieve.

I will try this if it doesn't work i will repost in this section of "Troubleshooting"
