Hackers on every server

Recommended Posts

Hello guys ,

Its nice and all that some hackers are getting caught. But every freaking server i join happens to be a hacker on who blows up city's, makes the server lag and then kills everybody. You dont wanna know how many gearz and dayz i lost due to hackers.

but anyway , maybe its not the best way to wait till an admin catches a hacker, but upgrade the battle eye security so ppl whit certain scripts running aren't even able to join.

You can try out private servers, Admins there are more free at banning people, and i saw some servers even run their own programs for detecting the hackers. Admin abuse can occur, however.

Well, it isn't that easy. The hackers are the ones who write a program that bypasses BattlEye detection. Basically, it unlocked memory used by Arma2:OA and allows a user to insert a script allowing them to run additional scripts without BattlEye detecting them. Then there is another completely different hack called a Radar, which is more or less a packet (packets are the packages of data traveling the superhighway called the internet) sniffer that reads packages incoming to the users computer, interprets them and allows the user to...for example, see every player or vehicle or whatever. The Radar one doesn't interact with the game in any way shape or form and thusly cannot be detected by BattlEye at all. And then there are Aimbots which often times use a unique color on player models to auto-aim your cursor to their head so you're guarantee a headshot everytime you pull the trigger. Aimbots also do not interact with the game's mechanics at all and thusly are undetectable.

There are many methods of cheating out there. The most popular one is the Bypass allowing users to run various scripts. It's somewhat important to note, these scripts they run use the Arma2 script engine and are actually intended to be used within Arma2. The game was developed around this script system to allow for the end user (us) to write missions and campaigns within their game. BattlEye has gone out of their way to offer detection for the DayZ mod which they really didn't need to do at all. So we should be lucky to have what we have as it's better then nothing.
