Mission Resets.

I am telling you for a FACT that he is wrong. FOR A FACT. He already lied to you once, which I am here confirming IN PUBLIC.

I JUST spoke to him THREE days ago about this. ANY host can cancel an existing, used instance ID and request a new one in its place.

I also think it's outrageous that ANY host would charge you to switch out the instance ID with a new one, since it costs them absolutely no money and just a few minutes of their time (if that).

Thanks urbanfox. It's time to look for a new hoster. He lied to me and thats not a good trust relationship for further business.

Any host can very, very easily cancel the existing instance ID and either use another one they have or request a new one from us.

We aren't giving the run-around to anyone. We simply can't reset instance ID's at this time, but there is no reason your host can't replace your instance ID with an brand new, unused one like we have helped other hosts do.

Actually, we can't do this either. I've cancelled several ID's and they are still active and have not been removed from the system after almost two months. I'm not going to bother applying for more then four ID's a node since they just get cancelled.

Please direct me to the ticket where you asked for to replace existing instance ID's with new ones, because I just checked and I don't see it.

As for your requests getting cancelled, do you really want me to start talking about the reason here in the open? I don't think that would help your business.

Don't try to call us out with bullshit.

I never said that I opened a ticket requesting a replacement, just that I cancelled some ID's quite a while ago and they were still active in your system.

If you didn't put a ticket in, asking us to replace some instance ID's... I'm not sure how you can complain.

I'm not trying to get into a argument here or claim that you are lying or anything of the sort. I'm simply saying that despite the fact your system has a "request cancellation" option you never process the cancellations.

When I originally posted that, I had only read the first page of this thread so I missed the "replacement" posts.

The IDs are just instances in the database (formally called the Hive). I doubt the DayZ Support team have any control over it aside from making new instances. I think the "Request Cancellation" is a byproduct of WHMCS and not actually used.

I'd recommend reading the whole thread before posting next time Tyler.

Inu, we use it to track active servers. This also prevents some of these "GSP's" from trying to oversell their servers by crowding them with too many server instances. Our database control does extend to canceling/blacklisting, however. That is only used in extreme cases and in accordance with Shawn, though.

Here is the last conversation with Marvin. I hope no one rents a server at Zap-Hosting anymore. Sorry for google Translation.

Hello,

It's no fun that you call us daily as a liar and confront us with any statements of ignorant forum members.

I have NEVER claimed that it costs money to apply for a new dayzmod.com Instance ID. Anyway, it is associated with a cost.

First we have to cancel the existing Instance ID via a ticket. This may possibly take up to three days. Only then will we be able to request a new instance ID.

This is associated with a cost which is calculated by us.

It is easier to simply drag to a different server by giving you a new server on a different root with free Instance ID.

Kind regards,

Marvin Kluck

My answer:

1. I have not called a liar.

2. Famous insinuation.

3. Urbanfox is no simple forum member.

4. I did not say that it costs € 8.80, but you. How dare you ask me straight here. Impudence.

5. You have the opportunity to set up new servers with free IDs. Why should the customer wait for, when you get the old ones renewed ?

6. You get paid for 1 ticket and 2-3 clicks with € 8.80? Very nice effort. Then you have to be pretty complete by the many of the work.

7. I hope you agree with this option, just fall on your face for this method.

8. I'm really happy now to have resigned. Somehow I can not shake the feeling that I too have spoken to any merchant. Rather with precious little, spoiled student who has a lot to learn how to deal with customers.

9. If you would have read through the forum post, you might have been wiser.

Sincerely

Björn Pfaff

Here the post before:

Why would we lie to you?

The translucent communityszupport probably misinformed.

We are happy to make a screenshot of the ticket reply from dayz.

Only way would be just setting up a new server with a new mission file. Is not inclusive service, especially since the set-up fee due to high demand is currently 8.80.

Obliging enough, I address you, but a new server, so far still interested.

Kind regards,

Marvin Kluck

Sounds like it's time to move on to a new host. While not perfect, the server host I use actually suggested we let them change our instance ID when a hacker completely screwed up the server. I said yes and it was done within 10 minutes. So I'm thinking the DayZ dev's are the truthful ones here y'all. =b
