~Bug Resolved~

Recommended Posts

Date/Time: 5/27/12 ~1:30pm - Current

What happened: All zombies I see run normally, but when they stop to attack, they are glitching halfway through the ground with arms to sides. They stay this way after death.

Where you were: In a variety of coastal areas and towns.

What you were doing: Looking for supplies in towns.

*Current installed version: 1.6.0.1

*Server(s) you were on: A variety of servers, NY7, NY5, Chicago 22, Chicago 1, Chicago 5, etc

*Timeline of events before/after error:

5/26/12 10pm: First started playing and died several times, with no major visible errors.

5/27/12 11 am: Play again, but notice I'm being kicked off of servers because of an update.

5/27/12 12 pm: I am fully updated to 1.6.0.1 and am playing normally for a bit.

Event 5/27/12 1:30 pm: I log back on and start playing again, only to see that zombies are glitching and sinking halfway through the ground. I ask my friends on skype with me on the same server if they are seeing these problems, and they say no.

5/27/12 2pm: Assuming my anim file must be messed up, and possibly other files, I reinstall all of them very slowly because the servers were being hammered, and was only getting 15kb a second.

5/27/12 3pm: I log back into a random server and see that I am still getting this issue. I also notice that zombies killed by other players are in their usual state, but I can't interact with them, and ones I kill stay in the glitched pose described above.

Here's a picture of how they look when they stop/are attacking/are dead

Thanks, I replaced the Swedish mirror I had been using (The download speed at the time was completely hammered on the US mirror link, so I just DLed the Swedish one instead) and it worked. Bug resolved.
