Creating Desktop Shortcut for Steam Version

Hi there, I scoured the forums and internet in search of an answer, but couldn't find one without using a third-party launcher.

Is there a way to create a desktop shortcut for DayZ? You can't simply create an Arma 2: OA shortcut with DayZ launch parameters because it doesn't launch as CO, required for playing using a Steam version.

Any ideas? Thanks :)

Go into your steam folder where Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead is,

steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead

Once in that folder find the file called: _runA2CO.cmd

Right click and send to desktop.

Double click icon on desktop, Voila!!

how to start it without steam, if you have the steam version. six launcher starts it without steam, but i'd just want to get in the game without six launcher and stuff to use the ingame multiplayerserverbrowser. the normal command line with -mod=@dayz doesn't work correctly?!
