'Offline' Server without Hive?!

Hey community!

I have a question, we (10 survivors) want to setup our own server only for us (without hackers or newbiekillers).

My first question, is it allowed to make my own server? We know that the server then isn't connected to hive etc.

If its allowed, do I really need a Windows server? How many Ram/CPU do I need?

Again: We want a NO HIVE server with PASSWORD PROTECTION just for me and 9 other guys.

I respect rocket and his hard work he has with dayz. I wish him to have big success with the standalone. DayZ is the best game I ever played and thats why I respect rockets wishes. But maybe there will be an option for private servers in the standalone!? Who knows :)
