Can't ever play dayz right, always a glitch

I've spent two or three hours trying to just play this game (waiting to get into a server, then finally getting in a realizing it's bugged to hell).

Here are the problems I've been having:

1. Finally get in, then IMMEDIATELY drop dead, and get this green hour glass looking thing on my screen, and I can't press escape or anything. I have to alt-tab out and close arma.

2. Finally get into the server but I have no weapons, items, or anything, my inventory is completely empty. I also seem to spawn in the middle of nowhere with random markers all over my screen.

Please help, this mod seems so amazing but I can never freaking get to play it. ):

You and me and thousands of others so it seems. Think I'm going to uninstall until it until the full release is out. I'm spending far too much time giving it "one more try".

The main issue is that many players forget that this is constant work-in-progress, and bugs and glitches are to be expected. Just wait and enjoy what's going on, if shit's badly broken, why not go outside and enjoy the weather?

I understand your frustration, but simply whining and not leaving any constructive criticism isn't going to help push anything forward. This is like complaining that the shirt you got a the local swap-shop smells bad.

What you say is true Blergh, but with the apparent instant success and the overload of demand, one would imagine it would've been handled better and quicker.

ahh thank you, someone who understands! and blergh, I know but it seems that everyone else can play it just fine and I was curious and wanted to try it out and it seemed amazing but it ust won't work but I think my friend just found me a solution, if it works I can give it to you Rapid. And I'm aware it's in alpha and there will be plenty of problems but like I said, there seems to be plenty of other people that can enjoy it so...
